Young people ALWAYS could have cast the deciding votes. They just never did. We have the worst turnout records of any demographic group in the country. Obama didn't "give" us the chance to cast deciding votes, he just gave us sexy cover shots on famous magazines.

Yeah, I still voted for the guy, even though I'm fed up with this whole system... what can I say? John McCain and Sarah Palin terrify the shit out of me.

you're right. young people have always had the right and RESPONSIBILITY to vote. the apathy of our generation frustrates the shit out of me -- we only get involved in something when it directly involves us, and usually it's something fluffy or useless, like facebook's new fucking layout or some shit like that ( ... )
