Today's drum corps camp was awesome. Started out playing on mallets, but the bass drummers were absent, so the pit girl and I went and covered their bass parts. I don't think I'd ever officially played bass drum, but it's fun, and luckily I've been building up chops for it. Then I traded with one of the snare guys. But then my back started hurting

mallets as in pit. And yes, it's shocking. But also kinda funny.
