a 9% tax on what?

I mean you can't just get a letter in the mail that reads "TAX, YES?" .. is it like 9% sales tax instead of 8.25? or like 9% shoe tax?

.. you know what? people should tax caffeine. Its a drug, people get addicted to it, its not good for you, and it would bring in millions of dollars to help pay for things like new mellophones in school districts that suffer.

a tax on communication users. There was some loophole where any kind of communication (like telephones, cell phones mainly) is taxable, but things like Skype are not because they're phone services but through the internet, so they aren't taxed. Prop S would allow the government to tax internet services, such as email, Skype, and other things.

ohh that tax.. I heard about that one. I'm by all means against that one. There's much better things to tax out there, just not the internet. The internet is basically freedom in the living rooms of the average world.

I still think there should be a caffeine tax. Its just a regular commodity, its bad for your health, its an addictive stimulant, and people buy those overly caffeinated energy drinks all the time. It'd be an easy way to ween people of a potentially lethal drug. (Or at least get it so that soda-pop companies are less likely to load all of their drinks with it, thus making more drinks popular to parents at supermarkets).

but that would mean more expensive chocolate :'(

But there are lots of studies showing that coffee is good for you. I'm not going to cite them though. I've heard from my dad, who's pretty educated on health, and the news. The news paid for by Folgers.
