I don't know of any that BF-Bear and I can afford, but some bears are coming into town and it looks like they are going to get a room, so if I have energy after what (for me, as a introvert) is often an exhausting day, I will hang out with them. There is also a famous bear porn writer appearing at the Alley Bar, so that will be a great crowd. I cannot stay out too late, though, since the next day we are going out to Raven's for Yule.
Maybe next year I will set some money aside to go to the party that does not exist, but dragging the both of us out there is out of the budget range this time around.
I am so there with you about the high cost of the party that doesn't exist. I am also so there with you about how the days take a lot of energy...especially for more introverted folks.
