[Since he first arrived, Perry has been spending most of his nights hidden away in the back of the clothing store, nestled safely between a few boards and shelves. Now that the weather is steadily turning colder, however, he's decided to stop being stubborn about this. He may have a family back home, but right now he's in Luceti and he'd very much ( Read more... )

[Mithos has spent much the week holed up in his house, closely - obsessively - monitoring the journals for anything that could potentially lead him to the whereabouts of Yuan’s Cruxis Crystal. No, not Yuan’s. His. And rightfully his. Yuan doesn’t deserve any such power.

The rest of his time has been devoted to patrolling the village with constant vigilance, desperate for any scrap of information. He is extremely limited in his ability to actually confront anyone about it (in his experience a much more reliable vehicle of intelligence), if the horrifically degrading incident with Crona demonstrated anything. An infuriating paradox: unable to obtain the crystal until he actually obtains the crystal. Absolutely cornered in a world full of nothing but enemies. But that’s nothing new.

Forced to take a break from brooding due to the demands of hunger (an annoying reminder of his imperfect, mortal body), Mithos enters the kitchen to discover that an unfamiliar creature has taken to the heater along the wall. ....Okay.]

[Perry is very much oblivious to the fact that someone just entered the room. He's a little too far into dreamland and Mithos' footsteps are a little too quiet. Plus, the heat of that radiator is firmly keeping him in a doze. He sure looks content, lying there with his paws pulled tightly against his body.]

Perry, you are now in the general vicinity of Mithos-with-a-knife. How does this make you feel? imatreenow December 15 2010, 07:13:36 UTC
[After the initial mild surprise of seeing the strange creature in his house wears off, he casts a generally unfriendly look at said creature. There are far more important things to be concerned with, however. The same questions he has been incessantly obsessing over for days now. Such as whether or not Yuan realizes that he, Mithos, does not in fact have the crystal in his possession. Would Yuan realize that there was absolutely no way Mithos would would have left him alone for this long had he actually been restored to his former glory? That he should have been justly killed by now? (Beyond any margin of doubt worth it, even if death is merely a temporary condition here as he has read ( ... )

[Perry was just having the greatest dream. He was back home, sitting on the couch with Phineas and Ferb, watching the Lindana Comeback Comeback Tour Report. Then Doofenschmirtz burst in through the wall, but Perry was the only one who noticed. They took their battle outside, where the Doctor challenged him with his latest invention (The Mac-and-Cheese-inator), but Perry outwitted him. Just as he charged towards Doofenschmirtz and jumped up to punch him in the nose...]

[Bam.

Perry's eyes snap open and he almost jumps up on his hind legs, but manages to stop himself just in time. Where did that thud come from?]

[The knife slices through the poor, defenseless apple a few more times, just as aggressively as the first. Mithos is unaware that Perry has woken up, not having paid much attention to the animal in the first place. Lower life forms, below even humans (so he thinks), aren't exactly priority on his radar. Now munching on one of the apple slices, he looks through the cupboards for something else.]

And then Perry became the best pie in Lucet? dynamicfury December 17 2010, 17:34:04 UTC
[Meanwhile, Perry gets up from the ground and looks up curiously at Mithos. Jeez, who poured orange juice into this kid's cereal? That dark expression doesn't suit him at all. For a moment, he considers leaving the room, but then he figures he might as well try to cheer this kid up. Somehow, his platypus charm has had a great effect on all the residents he's encountered. Why would this one be any different, right?

He approaches Mithos and makes his trademark chattering sound to get his attention.]

[SWEET MARTEL WHAT THE-- Mithos, accustomed to his house being extremely quiet thank you very much, is entirely caught off guard by the sudden chattering noise and nearly drops the loaf of bread he had just taken from the cupboard.]

[Whipping around, he sees...the air. His gaze drops and lands on the...thing that had been sleeping by the heater. Perry's efforts to cheer this kid up are only rewarded with an icy glare.]

[Mithos holds his glare for a moment more, but...what is that glassy-eyed look? ...Now ignoring you. A tch, and he curtly walks over to the kitchen table with Ingredients for Sandwich sandwich ingredients in his arms.]

[Hm, that wasn't very effective. If his most charming look doesn't work on Mithos, there's not much else he can do. He blinks, then follows the kid over to the kitchen table. Maybe he can have some scraps.]

[Mithos successfully prepared Sandwich! Just as he is about to take the first bite, he notices the strange critter gazing up at him.]

...What?

[Stare. His eyes are on the sandwich, but don't feel obliged to feed him or anything. Nnnope.]

[You want this sandwich? Well, he's gonna start eating it.

That stare is getting on his nerves, though. It's...slightly creepy. He pauses to take another slice of cheese from the package (Really, pre-sliced cheese? This place is bizarre.) and dangles it in front of Perry.]

How nice it must be to not have anything more complex to worry about. [Well that didn't sound dry, bitter, or condescending in any way.]

[Oh Mithos, if only you knew. Perry worries about loads of stuff, especially his family. And his archnemesis. In fact, that slice of cheese reminds him of Doofenschmirtz and the Age-Accelerator-inator incident. Good times.

There's a moment of silence, then his bill slowly opens. Come to Perry, cheese!]
