I am accustomed to being wary when I venture out, but of fiends, not 'Mistletoe'. Surely... it cannot be growing above every doorway? Basch's attempts to remove the foliage from our residence were unsuccessful, and it appears no-one else has managed to displace it. Still, I have known plants within the forests of Ivalice which posed a far greater ( Read more... )

Yeah, well I'd rather deal with one of those than these things!

The sentiment is one thing, yet to cover the entire place seems a little unnecessary. You are having ... difficulties, I assume.

I've managed to avoid having it happen so far, but yes. It's really irritating!

Clearly someone wishes us not to remove it, given the unpleasant consequences of trying.

Exactly! A glorious voice of reason.

In this case, acceptance is better than denial. The plant shows no sign of wilting.

Precisely. People merely need to understand this.

Knowing what the consequences are makes them easier to avoid.

Whether people would rather give in to the... requirement, or prevent a situation occuring, that is their choice. To an extent.

Geez, why can't more girls be like you?

I do not mean that I embrace the tradition, Junpei.

Aww... C'mon, you said it yourself... There are worse things, right?

True... though I will still try to elude the plant as far as possible.

It could, though the plants could be less... hostile when faced with removal.

Just be careful, Majesty, there are people who would use this opportunity to take advantage of you.

But... there really is no reason for people to get so upset over these plants. They do no real lasting harm.

Worry not, I will not allow myself to be taken advantage of in any form. I simply refuse to have this plant keep me house-bound.

Do you feel better from the shock given you by the clump above the doorway?

I cannot blame you for wanting to go out, staying in can drive one mad. Though I shall worry plenty... you are a young beautiful woman... the men here seem to thrive for that.

Ah... I am not sure I understand, Majesty? Are you curious how bad the shock is? Tis not as bad as a thundaga spell, I can assure you that.

Sometimes... I feel so trapped. I realise we are, in the sense that we cannot leave, though some days I am more aware of it than others.

I see. Yes, I was curious. Though, it has burned some people, has it not? Balthier was earlier complaining of a singed vest.
