 I have essentially 15 minutes left of my lunch- that is to say in 15 minutes I have to hop back in my car, drive the 7 minutes back to campus, and troll for a parking space until 2:15 when I'll have to abandon my car anywhere and run to class

i'm in the "i'm working all the time" boat with you. i have to get up early to come to school. then while i'm here, what i'm doing is not all that hard (it's easy and i'm having fun) but it's hard being "on" all the time. it's not that i'm pretending but you do have to cover up some of the more passionate emotions. then i go home and have to clean and cook (what the hell does grandma do all day?) and then i have mountains of homework. i have to write lesson plans, type up notes, grade assignments, read stuff i'm teaching about so i don't sound like an idiot. and as much as it sucks, i'm pretty sure it's going to pay off in the long run. and as much as what you're doing sucks and drains you, i'm sure it's going to be totally worth it in the end. breathe and have fun.
