We're in Louisiana. We've been home exactly two weeks. The move was.... well.... we'll get into that on a later entry. I hooked the computer up tonight and the phone lines are messed up so I won't have broadband until tomorrow afternoon at the earliest. I'm not even checking my email yet ( Read more... )

It's great to be back. Only made it into the city on Friday (UNO trip) and could not BELIEVE what lakeview, lakefront and Gentilly still look like. WTF?

How's the mortgage nightmare coming along? I hope it's either all sorted or well on it's way to being so.
Our new landlord mentioned about doing a lease-to-own in Chalmette sometime down the line. Nice guy. I figure that just as we've unpacked the final tote, we'll be packing back up to move into our own place again.
As I'm without wheels (probably for the next month), I'm afraid said meet would have to take place here or on a weekend, with my taller and shorter bits in tow. The taller half is usually on good behavior but, while adorable, the shorter bit can be a bit vocal at inappropriate times and venues.
