I agree with your rant. JSA should’ve been Obsidian’s chance to escape the C-list and become a major player. Instead, he’s pushed aside for underdeveloped rookies or Kingdom Come clones. I hold nothing against John’s for his roster choice, but seems he’s choosing characters to hammer in some ridiculous ‘legacy’ theme or because it sounded ‘cool’ at the time. It’s revolting to see Todd reduced from a three dimensional and realistic character in Manhunter to literal background character in JSA. Unless DC comes to its senses and put publishes Manhunter on monthly basis or releases an Obsidian mini-series, he’ll be the JSA’s dialogueless security guard.
