Lovely! it's beautiful and interesting and it looks like quite a lot of work to me.

It works so well, with Minerva and Albus as black shadows against the sepia of the newspapers, the red sparkles of magic
and the scenes you've chosen!

I enjoyed it!

*blushes* Thank You!

well the silhouettes took a lot more work than the newspaper clipping actually.

the newspaper clipping was just looking for the right screencaps and cutting them up and using a sepia filter.

But I'm really happy you found my piece magical. that's a huge complement

Excellent! This prompt was one of mine, and I'm really glad to see what you've done with it. Actuallly, I did not want a "relationship expose"; I was hoping for something less expected, and that's exactly what you've given me. I like the way their relationship is played out against the blaring headlines of their world -- there's no real privacy for them, no chance to build something deeply personal, even if they'd wanted to. They're always working in the shadow of something larger. The silhouette art is perfect; both of them are well-characterized, and their expressions are all the more powerful for being unseen, if that makes sense.

Thank you, mystery artist!

I admit to have been terrified when I learned you were my recipient as I was scared that no matter what I did it wouldn't measure up ( ... )

What a great job you've done here. The silhouettes work so well - especially against the headline background which was always the background of their lives. And I love that you didn't turn this into a pairing work, but leave it to the viewer what their relation is. Minerva's ramrod-straight back in the last one is especially telling. Beautifully done.

Thank you!

when I very first started working on the prompt, I thought to actually draw out both albus and minerva, but then decided to make them silhouettes instead as to not conflict with anyone's personal mental image of how both mcGonagall and Dumbledore looked.

(well minus the gandalf-like dumbledore picture, oops)

as for the "pairing" aspect and lack thereof.... well I personally do ship Albus/Minerva (interview, what interview?) , But I was certain that my recipient didn't and I didn't want to impose, as it was her prompt.

so I compromised.

glad you liked it.

Minerva's last silhouette is actually my second favorite (the first one is the one that comes right before- the hbp one) it's so very telling of her character. her very "soldier on" attitude.

This positively broke my heart. Beautifully illustrated with the drawings and graphics, too! Brilliantly done.

Thank you very much!

Albus and Minerva are two of my favorite characters, and it was actually quite hard to put them in such a sad scenario.

(and really resist not giving them a happier resolution as per my headcanon)
