1. On the advice of Stax - and she was right! 2. Bacon, of course. 3. Your enthusiasm. It's infectious and you give energy to the people around you. That's a great thing! 4. Going to the Blue Star Cafe with you and your girl in Wallingford and having a great time! We almost could not get the Flexcar out of the underground garage, though, due to a bad connection from it to the Flexcar overlords in their satellite space station. 5. How and when did you get into photography? 6. The animated bacon one, of course!
1. Because you were getting hitched to a friend of mine and moving here from far away. 2. The drizzle offices from the time we worked there together. 3. Your brain! It's twisted and brilliant. 4. Smoking on the back deck of the house up off of 125th St that we referred to as BFE populated by four crazy boys who liked to have parties. 5. What was the hardest thing for you about moving all the way to a new country? 6. Your main one, b/c it is actually you.
The two candidates for hardest thing about my migration:
Packing your life into four pieces of luggage
The little administrative differences. For example, in Australia house/apt leases start whenever you can move in. Here, leases all start on the first of the month, everyone moves at the same time, and renting a moving truck needs to be done early. Moving house in a pickup truck rented from the airport was excruciatingly slow and required requesting favors that I may never get to repay.
1. Because you are fucking hilarious. 2. Coffee, b/c you always had a mug of it in hand at the clubs, excep when you were out on the floor. 3. Your sense of humour. I always laugh *so* hard when we hang out together, 4. Going to the Denny's way down in SoDo -- the first time I had actually spent any time in that 'hood, not just driving through. 5. This is kinda tough, b/c you are not the kind of person of whom I ever have felt there was anything I could not ask. So, um, how about this: what's the best book you've read in the past year and do you think I ought to pick up a copy and read it, too? 6. Stop! Hammertime.
[I as almost done and lj ate my reply! Bastardos!]
I softened the re-posting rule b/c I hate having that as a requirement. Makes it feel like an annoying chain letter or something.
1. Well, *you* introduced me to lj, so when I made my account, I added you first! 2. Hehehe -- Boots of Pain! ;) 3. Your big heart and your amazing mind. 4. So many! Hard.... Um, right now, one that pops to mind is the night we drank that black vodka, Ian's first welcome back party at your old place, when the g&t ended up in the pool! 5. If I have ever wanted to know anything, I've just asked. So, I'll go with what I asked geekalpha: what's the best book you've read in the past year and do you think I ought to pick up a copy and read it, too? 6. Tough call! I think "little smile", though.
