no problem! I stumbled across it and went, man, the military is way more fun that my mom described! Course, she was in the air force

Ahh .. I've heard the Air Force described as "the Country Club" .. and also that it is the most conservative branch of the military.

Perhaps that explains the differences. Looking at this, I'm thinking there is also "something about being on a carrier" ;)
