My second entry for kpop_olymfics, a pinchhit for FT Island's "Raining." The fic was partially inspired by ROKN submarine sinking and though it's a (hopefully) far-fetched future, I tried to make it as believable as possible, so warnings for some graphic violence

I am so completely speechless, I've tried to write and re-write this comment a few times now.

You've done a stunning job. I'm still crying.

I'm not sure what to say or where to start. I laugh because many people believe that 2014 is going to be the year of war. I'm not sure entirely why but that was the beginning.

And you wrote this so amazingly realistic and well. And when they duck and cover in the middle of the rainy city, I can hear the sound of their footsteps and the sound of their backpacks and guns rattling as they run to hide themselves. It was so realistic and so powerful.

And this line

and they’d all thought they knew what exhaustion meant broke my heart in so many ways.

You've written this so well I'm so full of emotion I don't know what to say or what to write. This is a gorgeous beautiful amazing fic and I'm so glad it won. Just so much reality and so much beauty and truth and just ♥

Thank you so much! I've always been a fan of gritty war-stories, and since I hadn't seen it done in k-pop thought it might be an interesting reality to explore. I didn't have much time to write it, but I'm happy it had the powerful impact I was going for. Your comments never fail to make me feel all sorts of wonderful, thank you bb ♥

... i've been trying to think of a comment all day to properly express how i feel about this fic~~ ^^;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;

it hurts so much to read about our boys fighting in a war. you've created such a real setting that i found my heart pounding and my breath catching at every other sentence. T_T

you did a great job~ i love this, and i can't stop thinking about it~~~
