This is a great story. Your notes stated you thought it was OOC, but I don't think it is. As your notes also stated, Charles has just lost most of what mattered most to him in life. Of course, he'd have his moments of frank anger and self-pity. Who wouldn't? I like the emphasis on his relationship with Raven.

If I can offer a couple of small corrections for 1960s upper-class, British-American English: "lying" for "laying" and "anyway" for "anyways."

I know that it's kind of normal for people to feel this way when something like this happens, but I'm going based off of cannon. You know how some people are sticklers for cannon, I just wanted people to know what they were getting into. Better safe than sorry.

And thank you for the corrections, I always welcome corrections. I like to make sure my writing is "correct" but just myself and a friend or two means we always miss some things. xP
