If they got clean throw them on the shower rod to dry. I've had to do that before. it takes for bloody ever. If they're SUPER wet just wring them out in the bathtub & either wait for them to dry or if they need washing again just take the load to the laundry matt. Sometimes it's worth a few quarters to not smell like smoke!

(the smell drives me berzerk, makes my eyes puff up, my nose run, and feel generally gross... so I may be bias)

I second hanging them up to dry. Then again - I use a laundry room and I always hang my clothes up to dry (I'm a proud penny-pincher!).
