Yes, i realize i was way overcharged, no need to point this little fact out any further :)
I do have to say though that the price of the lock was probably the only more or less reasonable aspect of it because it also includes the labor of putting the lock in. All the other locksmiths i looked into quoted me $120-$150 for the new lock, obviously not meaning just the lock alone. It is still a bit extreme, but that's what the majority of them charge. Where i got completely ripped off, however, was the emergency call cost and the cost of drilling the old lock out.
I am sure if i bought a lock at Home Depot (and then installed it myself?), i could've cut down on the cost drastically :)))

I could've done the whole thing for you for $30 bucks including the cost of the lock :)

Sorry, i guess in the spur of the moment of locking myself out, i didnt really think of you for the job :) But now that i know you are capable of reinstalling locks, you better believe i wont be calling a locksmith from the yellow pages again
