Fashion Week: Lives of the Rich and the Ridiculous

I had the pleasure and exquisite privilege (sarcasm be damned) to get my first real Fashion Week experience yesterday. What can I say, people, it is something. They should make a documentary about this, not the shows themselves but the colorful characters that inhabit that all too perfect world. In a span of a day (if you dont count some crazy

I dont sound bitter at all, i dont see where you got this from my post. That's not how it was meant to come across at all. If anything, i was entertained by the whole thing. Truly.

Except i did feel kinda bad for those 11 year olds trying to be all grown up with their Blackberries and espressos, and being robbed of their childhood at such an early age. I dont think any amount of money and opportunities can replace a healthy childhood so what do i have to be bitter or envious about? I had an awesome childhood with no iPhones or designer purses and you know what, i wouldn't have it any other way. Whereas it's no wonder that so many of these socialites then end up addicted to coke or getting arrested for DUI, i mean look at their lifestyle at 11!
So, really, if anything this whole experience made me LESS envious of these people, i actually feel sorry for most of them, they're so bizarre. Don't get me wrong, having their money would be nice but if i really had to choose, i'd rather have my sanity :)

nothing more to add, Fashion Week is over today so that was the extent of it pretty much :)

I dont even know how i ended up meeting them myself actually hehe And i guess my connections arent as good as you think, we didnt get to see any of the big shows like Zac Posen, etc :(
