Things like this make me think that picking up the electric guitar instead of a horn or piano was perhaps not a fatal error afterall.

Oh, that is rather spiffy! Loved the introductory sweeping across the slate, before segueing into the main body of the video.

Maybe I'll try jamming along to it, someday.. I feel a perverse need to add a funk organ to that track. =:D

AFAICT, electric guitar excels at being personal. The tiniest little change in how you touch it gets picked up as a difference in sound. I think that its structure as an instrument naturally and rightly inclines it to being used for the little tricks and noises in between the notes more than the notes themselves.
