Hello dzlk. This is pmax3, the new Hindu member of convert_me. I remember you from the warm welcome you gave me on my intro post. I have a concern and you seemed to be the best person to share it with, so here goes..

I wrote an entry on convert_me. Since I couldn't express it in words, I expressed it in metaphors, hoping someone would understand what I was asking. Well the entry was deleted, and the reason was not communicated to me despite requesting as a comment on vox_diabolica's latest entry.

Subsequently I wrote another short post simply asking if my one line understanding of Christianity was correct, along with a couple of simple questions. That entry was put in the moderation queue, and hasn't been approved yet.

I have no history of any untoward behavior or any confrontations with anyone.

Is there any way to know what the heck is going on?

Hi! Sorry for the delayed reply, and sorrier to report that I have no idea and no new information to provide. I did make an inquiry but didn't get an answer.

I think vox_diabolica sometimes deletes or moderates posts he judges likely to cause drama or noise even when the post isn't objectionable in itself (for example I could easily imagine him quietly deleting an OP that innocently raises an issue that's been acrimonous and overdone in the community), and never explaining mod decisions seems to be the general policy. So it likely doesn't have anything to do with you personally. I wouldn't worry about it.

Thank you so much for replying! I am sure [info]vox_diabolica is trying to act in the best interests of the community. What I don't understand is why I wasn't given any warnings, like the community info says, nor given a chance to explain, and none of my questions were answered. This was certainly my first "offence".

Anyway I'm happy that at least someone listened :)

I love it because it was exactly what I needed to hear at the time, when I found it. I've been using it as an incantation against despair with certain circumstances.

Yeah, if I ever catch you in despair, I'll just tell you "At least you have a house."
