What did you do in 2006 that you'd never done before?
Go a full calendar year without getting a haircut for the first time since possibly '87, sit honours exams, ace different honours exams and get accepted into honours, [in that order] take masters level courses, get elected to a position, helped organise things,

Did you keep new year's resolutions and will you make more next year?
I've made more, I went to the baptist church, I was more consistent about taking medication, I got fit, I revised, and I broke at least 3 years new years resolutions by end of January.

Did anyone close to you give birth?
Nope

Did anyone close to you die?
No, actually, although my grandmother had a stroke

What countries did you visit?
USA.

What would you like to have in 2007 that you lacked in 2006?
Good exam results in the January exams, and the thing I want to get as a result

What dates from 2006 will remain etched in your memory and why?
14th of May, which was when Jen and Rich broke up.

What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Getting a 19 in a 4th year course, becoming treasurer of Melville

What were your biggest failures this year?
To co-exist with Craig, to get a high enough grade in the January exam diet.

Did you suffer illness or injury?
Couple of colds, I was sick a lot as per usual.

What was the best thing you bought?
All-Star Superman #4 and #5

Whose behaviour merited celebration?
Everyone for putting up with me, Pamela for going out with me,

Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Craig, really, and my own in reaction to him and how other people are. And a few more people but I won't go into that. You could argue that I shouldn't mention Craig, but really, most people reading this know it and someone who dislikes me so much that he ends up moving out of a building and telling people I forced him out before turning up at the Christmas party and proceeding to coming up to me, yelling at me, calling me a complete asshole, and deciding to mingle with people and brag about it to my friends the next morning is someone who it's hard to retain sympathy for

What did you spend most of your spare cash on?
Snacks, books, CDs and comics

What did you get really, really excited about?
Oddly, given my hyper tendencies, nothing stands out. Except possibly managing to do well in my exams and going out with Pamela.

What song will always remind you of 2006?
What became of the Likely Lads - The Libertines

Compared to this time last year are you happier or sadder?
Both time the fear of exams was the dominant emotion. But Happier, I think.

Thinner or fatter?
I believe thinner - my losing a heap of weight in January and February seems to have almost lasted.

Richer or poorer?
A whole lot poorer, unfortunately

What do you wish you'd done more of?
Having fun with friends

What do you wish you'd done less of?
Eating.

Battlestar Galactica

Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
No.

What was the last book you read?
Go for Beginners by Kaoru Iwamoto, but I've been reading that on and off for a while..
Infinite Jest was the book of the year beyond a doubt.

What was your greatest musical discovery?
Britpop

What did you want and get?
A Relationship, to meet more people

What did you want and not get?
Good grades in January, more time relaxing with friends, more studying and more knowledge.

What was your favourite film this year?
Casino Royale, but I only saw about 4 out this year.

What did you do on your birthday and how old are you?
I'm 20 and I played computer games with Jamie and then went to see Pamela for dinner.

What one thing would've made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
To be more sure of myself

How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2006?
Jeans and T-shirt with leather jacket, long hair massively curly [at least 8 different girls want to straighten it at last count]

What kept you sane?
Maths!

Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Dunno

What political issue has stirred you the most?
The US having Saddam hanged

Who did you miss?
No one in the first third, everyone in summer, and many people [Danii, David and Whitney, Pamela, etc.] in the last part

Who was the best new person you met this year?
Pamela
