omg I'm actually really excited about this one - I don't know the result yet, and I hate daylight saving with a passion - and I have a simple faith in the ability of West Australian voters to go "NO! We don't want change!". Which for once counts in my favour ( Read more... )

Of course you have moved to a state with daylight savings which does seem to make the WA vote somewhat academic.

Hehe, this is true :) But I don't really mind daylight saving over here - it's around 700kms south, and the weather makes it more sensible. In Perth, shifting the hottest part of the day to 4pm in mid-summer is just dumb. Also, I'm not tending to get up as early for work over here at the moment, so it getting an hour "earlier" for half the year isn't as much of an issue. Hi btw :)

Greens!!! And they won over 50% of the first preferences!!! They beat Labour in the first preferences outright!

How awesome is that?
