When you been working with animals all your life, seems wrong not to.

Seems...

well. Ennis ain't out of it yet, and some pain ain't gonna keep him from the paddock. Slow him down, maybe, and could be why he's restin' against the fence instead of giving Tequila a work through, but he's out there.

And that's something.

There's movement between the trees, at the head of a trail some distance off. A dark shape, and above it the occasional flash of bright color.

This resolves into Boukephalos and River, emerging from the forest at a sedate walk. River is flushed and grinning, and the stallion's black neck is darker with sweat; it seems that that decorous pace is a recent development.

Ennis can't help but grin when he sees them approach, and tips his hat from where he's sitting against the fence.

River turns her grin from Boukephalos's neck to Ennis, without noticeable diminishment.
