9. The Spayed Gerbil

Sep 21, 2006 19:19

There are a couple of reasons behind this entry. The primary reason is that I asked a question of the inimitable Debra, aka barmaidblog. I asked her if any customer had ever ordered a Spayed Gerbil. She replied, "Er, no. Dare I ask?" I'm posting the explanation here, rather than having it lost in the various comments that she receives on her LiveJournal ( Read more... )

Thanks for the story, that's funny! I'm not a huge fan of Campari, and we don't get much call for it these days, but it sounds like it could be a refreshing drink - it's hard to go wrong if you start with a couple of shots of gin and some lime juice. :-)

Feel free to share the story with your co-workers and/or customers. I'm betting that they'll find just as funny. (And let me know if anyone is inquisitive enough to try the drink.)

By the way, what goes into a Negroni?

A Negroni is gin, sweet vermouth, and Campari. Usually with a twist of lemon. I think of it as a martini for people who don't like martinis. :-)

I find this amusing in so many ways...
I randomly clicked your LJ while perusing Debra's latest entry, as I am incredibly bored. And what is this in your latest entry? A reference to Chambana. Where I live. Creepy. Though I have to admit I've never heard this story. Even if it is funny!

Well, as Mac Taylor has said on CSI: NY a number of times, "Everything's connected -- we just have to figure out how."

Yep. It is strange how small the world really is when you get down to it.
