i think it's an evolutionary thing, people are so disoriented by surroundings, even the intricacies of familiar ones, this is proven by psychological science. Uniforms throw people off, or dress code. a blue button up shirt does disguise who you are, people that know you at least as an acquaintance even a friendly one, know you as an entire person, we are so visual. the outfit i could see as an unintentional form of camouflage. you do usually wear bold colors and prints, you always have.
