Higher-pitched than my normal voice, more folksy than my receptionist voice, almost as pedantic as my teaching voice: it's my customer service voice! It's chipper, it's perky, it's chirpy; it's a little loud, but it comes with a lot of eye contact and a big smile. Key words and phrases:

Folksiness is the shit, no question about it. Start off with "sure thing." Add the occasional "okey dokey" (don't overdo it!). Throw in a "goodness gracious" if you make a mistake or drop something and they'll be eating out of your hand.

Well, not literally, because that would be disgusting and violate some health codes.
