Luckily I reminded M that his brother was going through Duty Free so he got a 1.25L bottle of Johnnie to boot ;)

Unlike my man alex23 (frequently referred to as M on my LJ), I like to let the pancakes soak up the syrup so that it's not all over my bacon and eggs. I thought it was a strange combo as well but if you think about honey baked ham, the taste is not so scary... I keep the eggs well away from the syrup tho :P
