Boredom relief from fleen

1. Will you be looking for a new job?
No, I have enough employment for now… But I will still look at composer opportunities and workshops.

2. Will you be looking for a new relationship?
Hell no.

3. New house?
Our real estate agent has been too slack to renew our lease so for now, no rent increase suits us. Hope that all doesn’t backfire cos I’d hate to move this year. I think it may still be too early to look for our own place.

4. What will you do different in 2007?
I’ll be working full-time so I’ll need to be organised enough to get/keep the house in order and motivated enough to keep composing on weeknights and weekends which may mean less socialising.

5. New Year's resolution?
To incorporate more healthy food and exercise into my life. More to come…

6. What will you not be doing in 07?
Saving money sensibly! I plan to spend :)

7. Any trips planned?
Not sure. I was hoping to visit China and Japan but we’ll see. Maybe Byron Bay and Melbourne would be more realistic. Although now there's talk of visiting travlintreeman in Sth America in Sep...

8. Wedding plans?
Nooo… I’m having enough fun helping Cathy plan hers.

9. Major things on your calendar?
Hoping to see Violent Femmes next month, Future Music Festival maybe in March, Cathy's wedding in April and p!nk concert in May so far...

10. What can't you wait for?
To get a new car!

11. What would you like to see happen differently?
I'd like to see a lot more classical concerts this year. Good for the soul, for research and tax deductions :)

12. What about yourself will you be changing?
I will somehow have to be content with less socialising if I'd like to cram composing, playing violin, exercise and healthy eating (takes more time that eating whatever's convenient) into my life.

13. What happened in 2006 that you didn't think would ever happen?
I stuck with my community orchestra and I got paid to play the violin (with TDO).

14. Will you be nicer to the people you care about?
I'd like to think I'm plenty nice enough...

15. Will you dress differently this year then you did in 2006?
I'll have more new clothes!!

16. Will you start or quit drinking?
Hahah, sounds like I'm gonna need to start again :P Mostly red wine and cocktails :)

17. Will you better your relationship with your family?
Yes, I've already vowed monthly catch ups with my sister. My pares have been diligently trying to come to all of my performances and we've been out to dinner a few times which we never really did.

18. Will you do charity work?
Not the traditional type, no but I give my time to the community orchestra.

19. Will you go to bars?
Not of my own accord...

20. Will you be nice to people you don't know?
Sure esp. if they're nice to me

21. Do you expect 2007 to be a good year for you?
YES!

22. How much did you change from this time last year till now?
I think I feel more settled with my life again - esp. socially and financially

23. Do you plan on having a child?
Not this year, ask again in 1-3 yrs.

24. Will you still be friends with the same people you are friends with now?
I'm wanting to cull actually, seeing as I won't have as much time to socialise, so I have everyone on a chart earning gold stars so the 5 lowest achievers will go every month... Is that the response I'm supposed to give? What a fucking stupid question! Of course I hope to be but friendship is a two-way street.

25. Major lifestyle changes?
The healthy eating and exercise is being motivated by my body letting me know that it's begun to deteriorate :P All the other stuff is preparing for stuffing a child into a fulfilling relationship, social life, career and clean home.

26. Will you be moving?
Probably not

27. What will you make sure doesn't happen in 2007 that happened in 2006?
The putting on of a coupla kilos :P

28. What are your New Year's Eve plans?
We went to duXa n Benno's for a backyard bonfire party :)

29. Will you have someone to kiss at midnight?
Yes! and several to hug :)

30. One wish for 2007?
To destroy the planet less
