Umm... hi. I don't know what to post about anymore... or whether anyone's still reading :P I find I get most of my angst out with my friends (like actually talking to people in real life - w00!) and let's face it, LJ and having a community of LJ friends means posting about angst, right? (Though there are some wonderful LJ friends who post useful ( Read more... )

Firstly, I like reading your posts! It's a great way to keep up with you. And boy have you been busy!

Secondly, "some ppl perceive ppl posting about their success and happiness as being boastful or whatever"
That thought had never occurred to me before now. I always post about successes etc. so that I can have a permanent record to look back on. And I'd think that my friends would be happy about it rather than thinking I'm biggin' myself up unnecessarily. Personally, I love reading about others' successes!

Thirdly, do you know anyone who can honestly say that they've used their time effectively in every facet of their life?

Hooray, someone is reading! And it's YOU :)

I agree with you on the posting about successes. I do it for the same reasons you do and I like reading about other ppl's, too. Beats the constant angst :P In fact, the ppl I perceive as holding the opinion of ppl being boastful; I don't really care about their opinion anymore anyway.

Well socially I used my time very effectively ;) I think I just wish I could spend less time stuffing around (procrastinating) and more time actually being productive. But yeah, no-one can be productive every waking hour...

Thanks for your insights, I like 'em :)

Post whatever you like! I do. It's narcissistic and self-serving and fun.

I don't know why but I was surprised to find someone who actually looked back on their resolutions but I suppose that is the whole point. Good for you!

YAY another reader! It's nice to get a response cos I don't feel like I'm pointlessly waffling on as much.

Well I'm not usually such an anal person but I always seem to want to achieve a lot. I think this is mainly due to me being in the music industry and having no distinctive career path; not me trying to be an overachiever :P So I think examining my resolutions is a way of keeping track of my productivity (esp. in my "spare" time).

When we played Shortcake Walk at orchestra last night, I was thinking about your posted opinion of the piece, hahahahaha

M is tidier than me[...]

I still have no idea how this is possible! My mother would _laugh_ at the thought :)

Not that I have any problem with your tidiness... I only said you are tidier than me; not tidy. Don't ever tell your Mum that I said that then or she'd be mortified at how untidy I must be :P
