it is raining here today, as it has been for ages now.

some days the rain brings comfort, some days solace. today i have neither.

today there is only loss, on one hand something I never had to begin with and on the other something I've pretended would never go away, even though it will now.

Hi, hope you don't mind me adding you, it seems like we have a lot of common interests. Are you from Seattle originally and living in Prague now? I just got back from a month and a half in Prague and it is strange to be back in Seattle with this 90 degree weather and no rain.

yeah, it's totally cool if you add me. i will add you as well for good measure. i'm originally from Western Washington and have lived in Bellingham and on Camano Island in addition to Seattle.

I've been in Prague for the last 7 months teaching English and am actually moving to Scotland tomorrow, where I'll begin a Masters in English Lit. in a few weeks.

sorry that you had to respond to the gloomy post I wrote yesterday. it's been a really weird week for me. i found out earlier in the week that my grandmother is very ill and I'll actually be coming home to Seattle for a visit next week so that I can spend some time with her before my course starts.

so I, too, will have a lovely break from what has undoubtedly been some really shit weather in the Czech Republic.

anyway, thanks for posting. good luck back in Seattle. enjoy the rest of summer.
