Eyes numb again. Read an excellent novel today: Sweet and Sour Milk by Somali author Narrudin Farah. I would highly recommend it; plus, I think I may use it for my dissertation. Got one of my papers back today. I'm not HAPPYTHRILLEDEXCITEDSATISFIED or any of those pleasurable adjectival niceties. I'm content, I guess. I've thought about it and I think I deserve what I got...in a way.
