Lately, I have been dragging Jon along for hikes in the Rochester Area (after buying the book Take a hike: Hikes in the Rochester area). We've been on four from the book. I really like Chimney Bluffs! The water almost looks like the ocean there and I'm a big fan of the cliffs.. but I just like pretty things :) Plus there is fun clay to play with down on the beach.

Letchworth has a ton of cool trails, but I would suggest waiting until the leaves start changing colors as it would be beautiful there. And there's Mendon Ponds, even GVP has some really nice walking trails. Your post made me realize that I miss hiking and the outing club :(

i totally played in the clay

we went to Mendon Ponds once, but I really want to go back for a longer hike one of these weekends. Do you have any hiking areas nearby? Hopefully you have something.

We have a few conservation lands that are nice to walk through, but there's not a lot of real "wilderness" on the Cape. But there are plenty of places in MA that are close enough that I could day trip there.

I'm actually going to be in Rochester all next week so I'm sure I'll see you at some point! yay!

Hiking is a good thing, if only I could be there in Rochester to join you guys some time. :( But, enjoy it!
