Spring Break came, was fabulous, and sadly went away too quickly

Hey! Glad to hear you had a good Spring Break and all. Mine starts on Friday and my parents are coming over tonight to do a whirlwind tour of the UK! Yikes... Anyway, just thought I'd say hi and see if you had talked to Scott VanFossen to see if there was anything you needed us to do so you can pick our room for us. He hasn't ever emailed me back... Grr. And, question: Did you have the meal plan when you lived in Rosenthal? I don't want it, but I figure without my own stove/oven I really can't make food out of the microwave all year... So yeah, feedback/advice on that would be great. Have a great rest of the week!

Hey girl! Yay for Spring Breaks! I did talk to Scott and I have to go sign a form sometime before room selection. So everything is good there. If you live in Rosenthal, you do not have to have a meal plan. I don't have one and am surviving just fine. We have a George Foreman grill, a hot pot, and a microwave. Granted, I can't cook a lot, but I do have grilled chicken, rice, pasta, etc. Plus, I do eat out a lot (thank God for Applebee's half priced appetizers). No matter how much I eat out, I still am saving money because I am not paying $1400 for a meal plan. And what I eat is healthier than what the Raf serves up. I like not having a meal plan. But that's just me.

Hope that the Scots are treating you well. I will talk to you soon! Maybe I can gather up a Cosmo or something fun to send to you!

Yeah, I thought the fact I didn't have to get the meal plan would be an easy decision. But upon further thought I'm not so sure now. I bet you are eating a lot healthier now though!!! I am also eating healthier this semester because I don't have a meal plan here, but I do have a stove and oven to cook and bake. So, I guess I'll just have to give it more thought... But $1400 is a lot of money on crappy food...! I do love packages and I do love Cosmo!!!!
