A blip on the scale

I've now gotten an InsaneJournal and a GreatestJournal, under the same penname. I'm pretty sure GJ worked in China, but I've no idea about IJ. If either or both journals work out, I'll be moving there come September. Quite a lucky coincidence that "Boldthrough07" (or is it still called "Strikethrough07"?) is going on right now, so a good chunk of ( Read more... )

why is the HP fandom moving? is it because of the great lj shut-down that happened a little bit ago? cause that seems like a silly reason to me, since they've restored everything since then and apologized profusely.

There was a deletion spree at the end of May which was explained two days after the fact and after many, many complaints. Turns out there had been a complaint about inappropriate content on certain journals, and the mods decided to do a cleaning act without giving any of the journal members a reason. Much of the adult HP fandom seems to have lost faith in LJ (they did handle it rather poorly) so are moving to other journaling sites.

The latest news on that front: http://www.journalfen.net/community/6a_cornfield/651.html "do not include anything sexual in relation to those under 18"

http://violet-quill.livejournal.com/337040.html "no links to prohibited content"

God, am I going to have to switch with you or repost my entries so we can stay up-to-date in each other's lives?!

WTF are you reading the New Testament like a book? I remember having to read some of the Bible As Literature, and honestly (no offense) I liked Stardust a little better.

:D You decide. We could just e-mail of course, which is rather better for personal communication than LJ.

Hah. Well, I can guarantee there won't be any weird, NC-17 scenes in the NT. And yep, I'm reading it chapter by chapter, book by book. I should have finished it ages ago, really, but I can't ever seem to get past the four Gospels (which tell the human life of Christ). I think I've gone back to reread that five times by now and sitll haven't continued past it. So I'm making this a solid goal.

Well of course we'll email too. O.O Did you really think I'd leave that out?! Weekly emails at the LEAST unless we are absolutely swamped, and btw I think both of us can be easily distracted just to send a quick email ;)

Oh god, NC-17+human!Jesus makes me think he visits a brothel in the gospel of Peter or something. "And God said unto his son, 'My son, I must pass unto thee the knowledge of the birds and the bees.' And God began to sing, 'Wheeen a maaaaaaan loves a woooomaaaaan," and passed unto his son Jesus the knowledge of the birds and the bees and it was good."

Oh yeah, the "h" should be capitalized for He. Oh well. When I write it like that it makes me put extra emphasis on the he and sounds weird!

P.S. When a man loves a woman is a song by Michael Bolton.

I know the song. Not quite as gormless as that, as it turns out. :D It was in Love Actually? Oh no, wait. I think it was in "When a Man Loves a Woman," the movie. My dad made me watch it in China. -_- But it was very much worth it.

Moving journals? Just because of a little thing like China? What? Psh, China. ;p Nah, nah, I'm pretty envious you're going there and (hopefully!) living out a dream. And don't underestimate yourself. I bet you can go at least a day and a half. ;-p Haha, okay, enough jokes. I've got confidence in you. Have some in yourself, will ya? Geez. I gotta do everything around here, don't I...? ;p And I may just have to get a GJ or IJ to keep updated on what you're doing (unless it'll be public, and then I might just lurk or stalk. Hee.)

Hope all's well! ♥

:D You make my day.

If I don't make it a day and a half, you owe me twenty American dollars. Fair? :P

I think I'll be keeping those journals public for now, so lurk away!

Hey, wait, I have confidence in you, so that bet sucks. How about if you do make it a day and a half, you owe me $20? ;-p

All right, score!
