On this trip to The Ottobar, everyone got kicked out, soon after someone in the crowd yelled, "Ted Leo, show us your tits!"

See, power went out in the venue, plus the rest of half a block on North Howard Street. Ted Leo was just ending a high note on "Counting Down the Hours" when the lights went out, and he let himself go into a wave of crowd- ( Read more... )

Instead, he led us to musical bliss and sweat. A ton of sweat.

Dani and I wanted to go to the Paper Moon, but we are both extremely old farts of workoholics who both had to get up early the next day. He didn't get home till 2 a.m. that night either, the poor thing.

One day. Soon.

P.S. I won't actually be working downtown on Tuesday, but if my work schedule permits, I still want to meet for lunch. :)

He IS the coolest. He made the absolute best of the situation. Dani only goes to his shows because of how consistent he is performance-wise, but of course, that night went way beyond expectations.

Thanks! In truth, Dani and I are probably in that clip of "Ballad of the Sin Eater." Well, we would be if that guy to the right of Ted Leo wasn't blocking your view.
