The classical radio have gone a little crazy tonight...

From the playlist of one of the classical channels of the national radio tonight:
Chaikovskij - Fauré - John Adams - Bach... (the Brandenburg concertos even)

So very very random, The John Adams piece was fabulous though (Grand Pianola Music) - and sounded as if he'd filched bits from Philip Glass (or perhaps it's the other way round)

I remember listening to a program that had the Concerto for Four Pianos, immediately followed by the very American Aaron Copland's Rodeo.

It certainly takes one by surprise *LOL* But it's a great way to learn about music/composers/artists you'd never thought about listening to.

I like eclectic pairings like that. and I agree sometimes it is hard to tell where Adams ends and Glass begins...and Glass begins...and Glass begins (LOL)

*lol* :D

It's great because it's unexpected and I get to listen to stuff I mightn't have.

There is a joke:

*knock, knock*
-- Who's there?

*knock, knock*
-- Who's there?

*knock, knock*
-- Who's there?

*knock, knock*

Philip Glass.
