Vacation greetings from the Faeroe Islands, where I am on holiday right now. Tomorrow we are moving on to Iceland. The north Atlantic is cold (for summer), but quite wonderful.

Iran is voting right now. I for one hope for Mousavi and reforms and a more open attitude towards the western world than what we have seen in the latest years. Cross fingers! -

Another night sky
As I mentioned in an earlier post, the sky is light in Scandinavia in the summer nights. This was the sky to the northwest last Monday, seen from my ground patio, at around a quarter to midnight (11.45 pm). The photo isn't the greatest, but it gives an impression of the light. The sky tonight
It's now 22.50 here, and I've just been outside. It's a clear sky, and blue still, softly getting darker. The sun has set, and to the north-west, the sky is bright orange. I just stumbled over this book - it looks really good, so I think I'm going to buy it for the weekend :) The lovely long weekend since Monday is a holiday, too.

Blade Runner again - I'll never tire of it, I think
I've just been watching Blade Runner. This time what I notice is the detail, and especially the colours. A funny thing, I know this is an 80s movie, I've seen it a number of times and this version (remastered director's cut) several times -- this time the lightning and colour is so distinctively different.
