Things have been going fairly well. Last weekend was hard -- spending the weekend in Queens with M, trying to keep up a cheerful demeanor while being pretty thoroughly bummed -- but manageable. Miss you too! I'm having such an awesome day, I can't even tell you. The house is nigh-on civilized for the first time ever -- I've tossed or given away enough that everything left has a spot of its own, no more teetering towers of books or magazines or craft supplies -- and I'm riding such a high of accomplishment and competence. This weekend I'm hiding in the air conditioning and amusing myself by flipping through home decor and gardening magazines, daydreaming about what I can do with such a clean slate! (well, and cleaning some more -- the upstairs rooms and back porch have more work that needs to be done -- but I'm well past the halfway point of this project, and it feels so damn good)
Are you keeping cool, I hope? And doing something fun with your weekend?

I am endeavoring to stay as cool as possible (when I am not being turned into an ice cube by my office's air conditioning system. Seriously, I need to go outside just to defrost.) I had to work after hours tonight (emergency editing needs), so my plan is mostly to stay indoors and relax, do some cleaning and such around the house. I'm meeting a group of lesbian/bisexual women at a coffee house tomorrow late morning for coffee and conversation in Philadelphia. What I do after that (go home or bum around the city a bit) will depend on how ungodly hot it is.
I'm hoping we'll have a chance to arrange a visit for the relatively near future. I have Matt Bomer pics to share with you. :D
