The Preserve, Saturday Morning

Apr 10, 2010 14:02

Since a great majority of the island's inhabitants had stayed up late last night attending prom, Ziva was expecting things to be nice and quiet for her morning run.

Silly, silly Ziva.

[For one! And major SP. Yes, I'm putting myself on SP notice. *eyes clock*]

Tama had a feeling that she shouldn't have gone through that portal. Mommy was always telling her not to touch things if she didn't know what they were, and this place didn't look very familiar, except for the biiiiig building that Mama had pictures of. She was trying to find her way there to get help when she saw something even better than a stupid local policeman. "Mama!" she yelled, running over to Ziva.

Ziva possessed a great many skills, but maternal instinct was not one of them, and she barely missed a beat as she kept running.

Luckily, Tama was small and fast, so it didn't take long for her to catch up and tug at Ziva's shirt. "Mama! Wait up!"

That was enough to get Ziva's attention, and she stopped and looked down at the girl with a polite smile. "Hello there. Are you all right?" she asked. She thought she was aware of all of the children in Fandom, but it was possible she'd missed one.
