Thoughts on Crayons

When working as a nanny, I spent a great deal of time around crayons. I have come to believe that crayons have human counterparts that they reflect. There are many different types of crayons, just as there are many different types of people. Here are just a few examples of some crayon stereotypes:

The Attention-Seeker: This crayon just screams ' ( Read more... )

You have the most interesting thoughts. I'm wondering though, what brought this on at this exact time? Also, very interesting to read. :B I wonder what type of crayon I am?

I actually wrote this when I lived in San Fran and just recently came across it in my files…it was fun, so I decided to post it.

I think Mike is right about what sort of crayon you are.

I have a slightly darker wrapper. Greyish color. But when used the color comes out as kind of a bright silver.

I think that K is a soft, warm tone. Something that you want to use to color in people or the walls of pleasant rooms. Her wrapper would be a bit frumpy and look used--sticky from someone who had candy on their hands while they were drawing.

Lira is a green crayon with sparkles. Glittery. Odd. Stands out from a distance when people look over the box.

Eagle_fire is another flesh-tone crayon. The wrapper looks only slightly worn. It's old wrapper was actually torn, but someone went to the trouble of rewrapping it because the color complimented so many pictures. [K says that you're blue-purple, so we're in a debate currently] :)

Cirne isn't a crayon. She's one of those pens that I only saw back in elementary school--the ones that had six different colors that you could click and choose between.

I agree with your assessment of you, K and Lira. You also have good insight on Cirne…although she may just be 6 different crayons. I don't think I'm flesh-tone…but I'm not sure that I'm blue-purple, either. I like to think of myself as “The individualist”…if I had to pick a crayon name for myself I'd go with something artsy, like “Fairy dust” or something…but I could just be idealistic.

You know what Cirne could be? When we were little, we'd take all the tiny broken up crayon pieces and put them in cupcake trays in the oven. We'd melt them and they would turn into cupcake shaped multicolored crayons. Cirne could be one of those. :B

Also, like the assessment of me. xD

Dunno about you though. I'm not sure if I agree with M or K. ^^;;
