First of all, do not apologize. Why should you? I can see no reason for it, and I am glad you recognize this as well.
Second, I am ashamed to say it took me the better part of a minute to realize 'Hug the heron!' is the button to click to comment. Honestly, I am so daft at times. At least you can laugh at my expense.
Thank you. *hug* I realize that yes, there's no reason for me to apologize for something like that. (Heck, there's no reason for ANYONE to apologize for their beliefs!) Long story short... I ran into a few vids featuring that stupid Westboro Baptist "Church" and, being the apparent masochist I am, I couldn't look away. It just... confuses me how people can be so hateful so easily, and even teach their children to do the same. And it's not just one group their after; they do after everybodyAnd then I felt like looking up some vids on agnosticism. Not sure exactly why - maybe it was a cross between wanting to see how people viewed it and wanting to be cheered up by positive reinforcement. XD ...Of course, the first video I ran into was one that flat out said, "You're NOT an agnostic. You don't know what that really means. You're probably an athiest. Deal with it." ...Sadface. D
( ... )
Why you should apologize for your faith? Does it tell you to kill, hurt people, destroy the Universe? No? Then what is the problem, because I don't see one.
I'm glad you're proud of it <3 as a fellow agnosticee I feel the need to shrink away from it at times, usually because my mom would die if she knew. But it's legit, and you shouldn't need to be sorry for it :)
Haha, I like that: "agnosticee." It's got a ring to it! ;D
It took me a long time to figure out what to call the way I viewed the world, especially since my family is Christian and I was young and naive and terrified about what they would think if I said I didn't believe in God. I'm so thankful that they're cool about it; I think they were even a little offended that I thought they would think otherwise, lol. XD I'm sorry that you're mom doesn't seem like a person who'd welcome the idea of your agnosticism (and I don't mean any harm in that statement, honest!), but you're right. We believe what we believe and that's all there is to it! :D
(Also, I squeed when I saw your icon. I love Cas so much. X3)
