Gotothemuseumgotothemuseumgotothemuseum...!

Ahem.

By which I mean:
I strongly recommend going to the British Museum for a day. It's one of my favourite places in the world, mostly because of the sheer volume of imperial loot and plunder. The Rosetta Stone! Giant Assyrian Heads! Giant Assyrian Gateposts! The original Mausoleum! The Elgin Marbles! The British Museum Library! Etc! So much Etc!

I do want to go see it, the trick is going to be finding time. It's on the list though.

I is jealous. Much.

I'll be expecting a detailed report of England and Scotland as silvermoon_wolf and I will be spending most of our time in Ireland. So, the Tower. Does it still stand?

Detailed report, understood. The Tower is still standing. We'll be seeing that when we come back to London on the 28th. The buildings here are amazing. Westminster Abbey has some incredible sculptures on its walls. The gargoyles looking down, the dragons by the door, the coats of arms. Then there was Big Ben, the golden lining on the metalwork.

I'll post photos when we get to our hotel in Exmouth.

As advice goes, I suppose "Go to Prague!" is less than useful. :)

Yay for being in old Blighty! :)

Yes, the museum, you must, must go. But make sure, after you're done there, that you pop into St Martin in the Fields next door and have a poke around, it's a lovely church. If you're really lucky you'll run into a concert rehersal as capnoblivious and I did once.
