Thank you for the advice and thoughts from all. Head cold is clearing up and I can now hear again.

I'm now glad that my ears will not explode when I get on the plane.

Just for the record...I am really missing all you folks. Just a few more days and this bird flies home!

Probably worth taking some of those soothers which clear the nose in the carry on, just in case. (I always do)
