I have to be honest, I have been neglecting a lot of things online. Haven't been around much, chatting, writing, talking much. Is it too late for 2010 resolutions ( Read more... )

Thank you so much Audra! I've been working so hard on this, it's great to get positive feedback from pros like you! ToT!

There is still a lot of work to do, so right now, since I pretty much do this on my spare time. We don't know quite yet how we'll be doing the whole thing, but I'm pretty positive that it will be available online! =) I'll make sure to sell copies on my own site!

Damn, Maina, these are looking good. I'm impressed! I mean, I'm not surprised - you're phenomenally talented and you work so hard, and you've already reinvented your art style to follow your dreams before, I think - but I am still impressed! Totally looking forward to this.

The expressiveness of it makes me think of the Kim Possible artist. That is meant as a compliment, and I hope you'll take it as one - his art just flows so expressively, and he manages to give everything character and personality and exaggerated effectiveness without anything actually becoming ugly. Which is no small feat! And you seem to be doing the same thing yourself. Excellent job.

aww Selie! Thank you so much! I'm not quite sure what to say, because I don't think I deserve such compliment. But I'm really glad that someone notices all those little things I have been working. I've never quite had to play on a character's expression and certainly not on that many levels as I have to do right now.

You completely deserve my compliment. I've been so impressed with your art for so long. Sure, part of that is because I too love mermaids and fairies and dryads (and you did such a good job catching the ethereal look of those creatures!). But part of that is just that skill-wise, you are an excellent draftsman. You have a fabulous sense for what and how to draw - you seem like you have a knack for the right way to make a scene or character look! You have a lot of versatility or you wouldn't be able to go from mermaids to dragons with castles to crazy combat scenes with goggles... but you can do it! And you're just plain talented.

So, yes. Compliment. ^_^

And that whole character and expression thing... that's why I could never do a comic. But I really respect it when other people can. It's hard work! I've tried.

Do you have an active, in-use deviantart account?
