Gouache, my new found love!

This was unexpected. Yesterday, while on the FP chatroom, I talked a little about illustration and how I was trying to find a certain look for my work. I'd seen examples but somehow couldn't get it right when I tried it. I wondered if the medium was the problem, and thought that maybe I should try something new

M. Graham's gouache is my media nirvana. Love it. :)

We don't have anything from M.Graham here (though I wish we had!). I used Windsor & Newton Gouache for this one and I'm really liking the texture and colors so far. I must admit though that I don't know if they are a good brand or not.

As long as it isn't their Winton line, you should be fine. :) (The Winton is the student grade paints) A lot of artists I know swear by Windsor and Newton, I just prefer M. Graham. :)

And my, I swear, it might look easy, but it's not ahahah! I screwed up a lot when I tried it out. That's why I also used some colored pencils in this one.... to cover my mistakes. *giggles*
