 It's been a while since I've updated because for the most part, everything has been going well.  Lets see if I can do a good, quick breakdown of things

I know how it is . . . I sent out over 25 resumes myself before I landed the job I have now. It was a shock, because I went from being unemployed to being employed and working in less than 24 hours. When it happens, sometimes it happens fast.

And it's not like The Sims where you just open up the paper and pick the career track you want to go into. The market is so starved for open positions that even little part time jobs end up with hundreds of applicants. I applied to a part time teller position with AT&T and they said they had 120 people apply for it!

I hope things improve for you, and that you get a great position - fast.

And I'm sure your resume is far more impressive than mine, so it's even harder for me to land a job. Though I may be in a more populated area, not sure exactly where Athens is if that's where you still live, so there may be more jobs out there to apply to.

I have no certification and just a high school diploma. I am very capable/intelligent, but I have nothing to show that to any place I am applying. If only people took MMO references as a basis for an application, but I think I'm a few decades too early for that, hah.

Oh man, lame about the job issue and about mom's over-reaction. :( Glad to hear the update though, and VERY glad you're so positive about Amber. That sounds like a truly good thing, and a really bright spot during a challenging time. I'm so glad she is supportive and not nagging... :)
