OMG.

One of my late Christmas presents arrived today -- Every single Horatio Hornblower movie on DVD. So. Freaking. Awesome. And, sure, it wasn't a surprise, because I ordered it myself, but WHATEVER, it is GREAT HAPPINESS.

I think my favorite parts are where he's gratuitously naked. Those parts weren't in the books, but I think they make a rather good addition.

That's awesome! And yay for getting it for yourself. No sense in waiting for someone else to do it. Good series, although I can't watch the last ones because it makes me too sad.

Sidenote (sorta): When I went abroad to England our school was called Nelson house because Nelson stayed their for a little while and it always made me smile because Horatio was based a lot on him. /being a dork

The last one makes me sad too. Actually, so does the second-to-last one, because I think he gets married in it. Noooo, Horatio is ALL MINE. Clearly, now that I have the DVDs, I can make HORNBLOWER ICONS. omfg. Errr, if I can figure out screencaps. But yeah!

Honestly, I loved Archie to bits. Yeah the whole marriage thing was weird...where was the love? Nowhere! But yeah, even if it had overflowing with love I wouldn't have wanted to see him get married. But OOH ICONS! Screencaps aren't hard, but you have to have a program that takes them.

The part that just kills me is when Horatio says something like, "You're the man who jumped off a cliff with a man who's afraid of heights and a man who can't swim" or something. OMFG. Of course, I haven't watched it in over a year, so I probably mangled the quote, but you know the part I mean.
