So, if you know the inner workings of my mind intimately, it will come as no surprise that there is little on this earth that gives me more joy than colorful scrapbooking paper. Well, I still haven't gotten her to watch Firefly, but she DID sit through much of Battlestar Galactica this evening. Which is weird, because BSG is all angsty and sad and like OH NOES THE HUMAN RACE IS BEING DESTROYED BY THE CYLONS and then Lee looks all angsty and has issues with his father and -- okay, the point is, my mom likes comedy, and Battlestar Galactica is so serious and sad that I cried three times during the miniseries. The only other times I cry during movies are in Star Wars: A New Hope when Alderaan is blown up and in Cast Away when Wilson floats away. THAT IS HOW SAD IT IS. And Firefly = not really very sad at all, except when Wash dies (at which point, OMG SO SAD).

Oh god, I am a nerd.

I just recently watched Firefly. I started on a thursday and finished on friday. I AM SO PISSED THAT FOX CANCELED IT! Though I guess its kinda cool that they made a movie...
