Oh, this meme is awesome)) I should snag it... probably))
I tend to run from death fics too. I don't mind character death in canon (I'm a fan of Joss Whedon, and he kills characters like moskitos, so it'd be weird if I minded)))), but fics aren't for mass murder. XD

I sort of really totally had to do it, because... it's awesome. So I am encouraging you to do it too. >_>

Death fics depress me, honestly. I figure, I am not dedicating however much time to reading a fic to depress myself, unless I'm really in the mood to wallow for awhile. Fics I hope will make me happy during the experience. In canon however, multiple murder is entirely fine. Joss Whedon being a perfect example! XD

Also, does anyone have a piece of username html code prettiness that will recognize where a username is from (LJ/IJ/DW) possibly? Hopefully? Or is that a pipe-dream of mine?

Examples? I do in CSS, which means adding custom CSS to whatever.... So, some examples of how to recognize part of a URL and automatically assign an image to go with it. However, it may conflict with LJ code, but there's a way around that, depending... I use stuff like this at Grazhir, and duplicate the icon images into .png (usually) files (actually, I think you can link directly to the .ico files from whatever site, but that'd be bandwidth stealing and therefore evil, so I PrintScreen the site icons and convert a cropped image which I store at Grazhir).

Anyway, examples:

a[href *="livejournal.com ( ... )

This is fabulous! I can't wait to test this out. ♥ Bouncing usernames between three or four different sites in one post has been a ridiculous hassle. Thank you!

You're very welcome. You can also do it with file types, but since you didn't mention that I didn't provide examples. There's a ton of neat stuff you can do with CSS. :)

CSS isn't something I've much experience in, but I think it's something I should endeavor to pick up... It is very useful! ♥
