Well, the short version is that I graduated, lived in West Virginia for a year and got paid to bum around a music store, and then I decided to do a big road trip and come back to Portland, where I've been since the end of last September. I got a job in December, an apartment in January, and a cat in February.

What have you been up to? I haven't heard any of your recent news either. Are you still in Portland?

Well I've been living in Corvallis and going to Oregon State. I'll be finished here in the fall and will be getting married in the Spring. Next week I'll be taking a class at PSU and be around Portland, somewhere I haven't bumed around in for a few years. What are you doing in Portland?

I'm just working mainly, and trying to save up enough money to get out of debt (Student loans. Blargh.) while at the same time trying to take advantage of the fact that I'm living in a city again and go to plays and concerts and things like that. I sometimes feel like these are largely incompatible goals.

It sounds like you'll be trading places with my sister. She just finished her freshman year at PSU and is transferring down to Corvallis in the fall. I'm happy for her, really, since I think she'll do much better at OSU, but at the same time I'll miss being able to have lunch with her downtown.

Congratulations on the impending nuptials! Is he anyone I know?
