Big post exam tired moan

Exam Day 1
Business Environment

Just to give you a general idea of the paper: 100 marks, anticipated 6 questions, mostly around 15 marks with a balancing 25 marker (give or take a couple of marks per question).

Questions are expected to be circa 30% financial reporting issues, circa 30% audit, 30% tax and 10% business finance, usually with the subjects split between questions so that one question consists of two or three intermingled subjects.

And so they decided to give us three full questions, and just over 50% of the marks, solely on tax. We couldn't even look around for other points in the question. Plus, one of the questions was a not-even-disguised 24 mark corporation tax computation. If you're me, you haven't done one of those since December 2001. This is the sort of question all our tutors told us would never come up.

The people who worked in the tax department really loved the paper. All we auditors looked rather shell-shocked. I think that question will be the decider between who passes and who fails, and I'm not too sure that I'll be in the former category. However, since they can't fail half the students, I have a chance of upwards moderation.

Sadly, after a relatively sleepless night, I worked out how to answer the bloody question by around 8am this morning, just in time to do the second exam.

Exam Day 2
Business Life Cycle

Okay, I don't have too much to moan about on this one. I should be surprised if I failed it.

I'm very, very tired.
